On February 5, Sydney hosted the International Conference on Civil and Environmental Engineering (ICCEE), bringing together industry leaders, researchers and policymakers to discuss cutting-edge advancements in sustainable engineering and infrastructure. With climate resilience, urban sustainability and environmental responsibility key priorities in civil engineering, this conference serves as an important forum for shaping the future of our built environment.
MCE Management • Commercial • Engineering has and will continue to support and encourage the upskilling of individuals and our industry as a whole. This is demonstrated over the past decade through our team’s close involvement with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and Engineers Australia in voluntary roles as professional reviewers, on committees, Councils and at a board level.
MCE actively supports the themes and discussions that this conference promotes. As a firm committed to integrating sustainable solutions into civil engineering projects, we continuously explore innovative approaches to reducing environmental impact and implementing eco-friendly construction practices.
In our recent projects, we have prioritised low-carbon materials, nature-based solutions and smart infrastructure designs that align with Australia’s sustainability goals. We recognise the critical intersection of engineering and environmental stewardship and we encourage industry-wide collaboration to drive change.
We will be following key discussions from ICCEE, particularly in areas such as climate-resilient infrastructure, advancements in water conservation and the role of digital technology in sustainable engineering. These insights will help shape how we refine our own approaches to transport, energy and water infrastructure projects moving forward.
For professionals attending ICCEE, we encourage sharing learnings and takeaways that can contribute to a more sustainable and forward-thinking industry.
