Business NSW CEO Daniel Hunter said the 2024 awards program has attracted a record number of entrants, and the standard of entries is incredibly high.

“We’ve received an overwhelming response to this year’s awards program and I congratulate all entrants, but particularly our finalists,” said Mr Hunter.

“Businesses across the Sydney region have showcased their commitment to excellence, sustainability, diversity, inclusion, and leadership.

“It’s inspiring to see both small and large businesses displaying remarkable innovation in what is a challenging operating environment.”

Entries have included small businesses whose mission is to provide clean water access to global communities, a dynamic software firm driving innovation with affordable cybersecurity and a women’s fashion brand that shines a light on ‘Made in Australia’ garments.

“Sydney’s businesses are the backbone of our local economy, creating jobs, and shaping our city’s identity,” Lord Mayor Clover Moore AO said.

“I am committed to supporting and championing the growth of businesses in the city, ensuring Sydney remains a hub for commerce and creativity.

“I wish every success to the finalists in this year’s Sydney Business Awards and thank you for the positive impact your work has on our global city.”

Paul Nicolaou, Executive Director, Business Sydney congratulated the finalists who represent Sydney’s leading businesses across financial and professional services, construction and development, health, education, arts and culture, tourism and hospitality, as well as technology, transport, and logistics.

“Congratulations to the finalists whose achievements significantly contribute to Sydney’s economic, social, and cultural growth,” Mr Nicolaou said.

“As a global city, Sydney thrives on the successes of its diverse businesses, creating opportunities to invest, work, live or visit. These businesses and individuals enhance our city’s reputation and embody the spirit of innovation and progress.”

Winners will be announced at a gala event to be held on Tuesday 18 June 2024 at Sydney Town Hall.
